RCDL'2009 is the eleventh conference in the series of All-Russian scientific conferences "Digital Libraries: Advanced Methods and Technologies, Digital CollectionsÝ. Hundreds of scientists from the leading scientific centers of Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, New Zealand, Russia, the USA, Ukraine and other countries have taken part at the RCDL conferences over the period of 10 years.
Traditionally, Russian Information Retrieval Evaluation Seminars - ROMIP are held together with RCDL. In 2009 the RCDL conference is planned to co-locate not only with ROMIP Seminars but also with the 3rd Russian Summer School for Young Scientists in Information Retrieval - RuSSIR'2009. During RuSSIR'2009 leading Russian and foreign scholars would give survey lectures about the important issues of the development of digital data retrieval methods for basic and applied problems solving.
The Conference RCDL will be held on September 17-21, 2009, in Petrozavodsk, in the quarters of the Karelian Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Petrozavodsk State University. Petrozavodsk is situated on a picturesque shore of Onego Lake. The RCDL cultural program includes the visit to the world-wide known open air museum "Kizhi" (1714). There is a regular railway communication between Petrozavodsk and Moscow as well as between Petrozavodsk and St. Petersburg.
